About Me

Get ready to embark on a journey through time and taste buds with me. I’ve always been passionate about history. During the first winter of the pandemic, I needed to find a new way to explore the world and its history without leaving my home. That’s when I discovered the World Atlas of Wine and the online wine-tasting course offered by the University of California, Davis.

As I sipped on new wines and learned about their origins, I realized that studying wine involved learning about history, geography, agriculture, climate, geology, culture, food, and science.

The sommeliers who hosted the wine tastings that I attended further fueled my passion for the subject. I focused on wine and wine regions but soon realized that if I wanted to pursue a path toward becoming a sommelier or at least an aficionado, I needed to learn about other types of alcohol as well. That led me to begin exploring spirits, and then on to beer. And when I read the book, The History of the World in Six Glasses, that added coffee, tea, and cola to my list of beverages to learn about.

But don’t worry, I won’t let myself drown in all these beverages. Instead, I’m making it a personal journey of discovering history through what we drink. And with my last name being “Beer,” it’s practically fate that I approach history from a drink perspective.

I’ve decided to also embark on a journey to learn more about Artificial Intelligence (AI). With so many new and exciting creative tools emerging in this field, I felt like diving in.

I’ve been trying out the cutting-edge Lexica.ai tool to generate stunning images, and experimenting with enhancing my own photography using AI techniques. I hope you enjoy the results.

I’m fascinated by what has happened in the past, and equally intrigued by what’s happening right now. I am passionate about understanding how the past has shaped our present, and how the present will shape our future.

Join me on this adventure, as we sip our way through the past, exploring historical details and paths that lead to fascinating discoveries. And if you have any interesting historical links or book and beverage recommendations, please share them with me. Let’s connect and toast to history!
